Parents ‘Celebrate Their Greatness’ at Williamsbridge

On November 21, Williamsbridge Family Services held a ‘Celebrate Your Greatness’ event for parents. The event featured interview tips, professional makeup artists, and a barber. Parents also participated in self-care workshops and received professionally shot LinkedIn photos. Family Services staff, volunteers, and partners at Red Lips for Change and That Suits You facilitated the event. During That Suits You’s workshop, parents learned the essentials of interview presentation and received professional clothing including suits and ties. Then, at Red Lips for Change’s workshop, mothers took turns expressing their strengths and engaging in confidence-building activities.  After the event, parents displayed pride in their new makeovers, skills, and attire. They also expressed appreciation towards the staff and volunteers who facilitated the event.
