Middle Eastern restaurant NAYA celebrated the grand opening of its Upper East Side location by donating proceeds from a 50% off promotion to support Allie’s Place Center for Culinary Education & Employment. The funds will support HFH’s culinary job-training program, which prepares adults for careers in the food industry. Along with the donation, NAYA also provided hot bowls to the families at our Clinton Family Residence in Manhattan.
NAYA connected with the Culinary Center through Together Hospitality’s monthly roundtable meetings, where hospitality professionals share their expertise.
“Through our partnership with Allie’s Place Center for Culinary Education & Employment, we foster meaningful connections with our community,” said Bethany Strong, Senior VP of Operations at NAYA. “We aim to give back to organizations whose missions and values align with ours, creating a positive impact wherever we lay our roots.”
HFH Partnerships Manager Tierra Gunther attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate NAYA’s donation.
“A big thank you to NAYA for partnering with us,” said Tierra. “Their donation has a huge impact because it helps provide students with employment skills through our job-training courses, including Culinary Essentials, Pastry Arts, and Hospitality, as well as essential items like clothing for training and interviews. We look forward to growing this collaboration, as NAYA’s focus on healthy meals and cooking aligns with the Center’s mission to promote healthy eating and support the community.”
