Learning how to play chess has numerous benefits for children including improved academic performance, strategic thinking, and self-confidence. At the Prospect Family Inn, older kids in the Futurelink after-school program (ages 12-17) volunteered to teach chess to the younger children in the Big Brownstone after-school program (ages 5-11).
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) subjects are a key component of our after-school programs.
